Big girl voices

About when do they begin to cluck like big girls? My 5 1/2 and 2 1/2 week olds sound the same so far. I love to hear chickens clucking and am looking forward to that.

Hmm... Depends. Around 6-7 months

It's a gradual change, too. You just suddenly realize they're not peeping any more, but making a rather large variety of sounds in addition to outright clucking. A few of mine started sounding like real chickens partway through their fifth month, but the rest didn't get there until they were past the six month mark.
