There are somethings i wanted to know though before the quails reach adulthood

Are male button quails loud?

Do males fight each other over hens?

If a hen go's broody wich i already know bearly never happens.. but if she does go broody.. do i leave the male in the cage?

What do you feed adult buttons?

Do you have to have a nest box for the hens? or they just lay anywhere.

Do you need one nest box for each hen?

Hi BirdBoy,
Aren't Button chicks just darling? And they grow SO fast!

Are male button quails loud?
Not really loud, they have a really neat call.

Do males fight each other over hens?
They will.

If a hen go's broody wich i already know bearly never happens.. but if she does go broody.. do i leave the male in the cage?
I left the male in the cage with the broody hen, but there was only a pair in the cage.
I hand raised the hatchling Button chicks, so I can't tell you how the male would act with chicks.

What do you feed adult buttons?
I feed mine chick starter supplemented with boiled egg and veggies. I also give them a bowl with sand (for grit and dustbathing) and ground egg shell (for calcium).

Do you have to have a nest box for the hens? or they just lay anywhere.
My Button girls will use a nest box if I give them one. Otherwise, they'll just lay anywhere.

Do you need one nest box for each hen?
My girls (when I have several girls in one pen) will use the same nest box

Good luck,
