Crossing a Welsummer roo with a Welbar hen?

Hi, All! I got this fellow from a local breeder as a chick - and he was sold as a female. I'm considering getting a Welbar hen with an eye to chicks in the future. Anybody know what I should expect?

You'd get possibly kinda messy- patterned Welsummer-looking chicks that laid brown eggs
