Thank you for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately, here in southern Florida we don't see that many shooting stars. Right now, Pop (the male Egyptian Goose) spends most of his day standing on the bank of the lake near the place of their last nest. I have reached out to several institutions & folks who have some experience with Egyptian Geese & have not received a response.
As I mentioned before, it is incredibly sad watching this lonely bird looking for his mate. I suppose nature will take its course but there doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there about Egyptian Geese and the loss of a mate, how they grieve and what, if anything, we might do to ease their loss. I'd like to get this post all throughout this site; perhaps someone may have an idea.
