This morning my 11 month old Barred Rock hen layed a soft shelled egg, so since she is getting plenty of calcium I gave her vitamins and cod liver oil to help her absorb the minerals.
I just found her with her bottom near the ground, an enlarged vent and some egg yolk oozing out.
I have bathed her in warm water and I rubbed olive oil on her bottom.
Her vent is not so large now and it looks normal, she is isolated and has some wet crumbles, and a vitamin mixture.
I can feel that there is more in there, but how to I help her get it out?
