How much time should chickens spend outdoors?

Thanks everyone! Truly! To Woodland Woman...yes, I have had them only three weeks. I just put up an outside roost and awning that my DH made (to shut me; says I am obsessing) so they have shade. They have PLENTY of room in their coop for just the two of them (4x6)
cottage coop and they just seem to love it. Hopefully they will venture out more often when they are older because I do NOT want them to have issues. They are gorgeous and sweet. Thanks again.
