Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
we picked up 4 of our 8 girls on Tuesday, they are adjusting really well. My wife and i and our kids hang out with them daily for a few mins just to get them use to us. I'll try and get some pics up this weekend of them in the coop/run.

the hens are as follows...currently

Two Heritage Azures - kids named them "cookie dough" & "chicken little"
Two Bovan Whites - Kids named "Tuesday" and "Betty White"

in July we are expecting ..
Two Bovan Blacks
Two Bovan Browns

These is what were suggested to us by people in our area as climate hardy breeds.
