Saw my first baby quail family this morning

I was wondering why my dog was so enthusiastic about running off the crows and road runners this morning. I was also wondering why there were so many hanging around. Turns out a momma quail has just hatched out a big ol' family. Too many and too fast to count. I hope momma is giving thanks to Fuzzy, the dog, cos without him her family would be quite depleted by now.

I love this time of year!

We have a ton of baby Gamble's quail now. They come in and feed with my animals.
