My Question is do all breeds of chickens that are male grow their comb faster then a female? I thought this may be a female but the comb is growing quickly.
That is definitely a cockerel. In all breeds of chickens, males grow their comb faster and their comb reddens more, as well as their wattles undergoing the same change. However, there are breeds where the females do grow their comb and wattles very large, such as the Leghorn.
Different breeds will have different growth rates which can be confusing if you have a mixed flock, speaking from experience, but the males' comb will always grow faster than the females' across breeds.
