Hi, my rooster is on the mend from a stray rooster who came in our yard and attacked him. All superficial wounds. On his comb etc. but his sinuses, face got swollen and bruised and one of his eyes had bubbling in it and crusted over. It’s now day 4. He’s inside and I have been cleaning and letting him heal. I noticed yesterday morning a pale yellow gob in the injured eye so I got sterile water and a qtip and got it out. Bought terramycin at tractor supply and put in his eye last night. Looks better today. Do I continue to apply daily? Twice a day? Or only if it looks worse?

Terramycin eye ointment is applied 2-4 times a day to the eye. I would clean the eye with saline eye wash and cotton, then apply a small dab of the ointment into the eye. If you see pus in the eye, clean that out. I hope that he heals, and has no lasting problems.
