turkey has bloody poop

my turkey has bloody poop its not thick blots of it its like gooie blood its not much but enough to scare me hes about 2 weeks old now and has been separated from the chicks we had him with hes never shown no out ward sighn of distress or sickness other then him having bloody poop please post if u have any info that would help thank you

If turkeys are like chickens. Which I know nothing about turkeys, could it also be cocci? If so it needs to be treated fast. I'm sure a turkey person can chime in.

I dont know too much about turkeys as ours are only 6 weeks old. but when we ordered them we were told to have Sulmet on hand. Luckily we never needed it But I have it just in case You put 2 tablespoons in a gallon of water for coccidiosis Also are you feeding medicated feed. We were told to do that as well Hope this helps or someone with more experience comes along Micki

you could go ahead and start cocci treatment (if it is cocci you should not wait as it kills quick)... but do get a faecal!!! (as some internal parasites will also cause bloody poos!)
