Will my rooster grow back his tail feathers?

My little frizzle Silkie rooster had all but one of his tail feather torn out by the bigger Silkie rooster... Some of the others are missing, some seem broken off at the stem. Will Frizzle grow them back? How soon?

I'm rehoming the other rooster, so the abuse will stop soon.

Attaching a pic of Frizzle now and before... His poor butt I feel bad, I rarely see them fight, but the bigger rooster must have laid his paws on him repeatedly.

Edit: they do not fight, Frizzle just runs away, sometimes not fast enough.

Start feeding higher protein feed, it will help with feather growth. Any feed higher than 20 percent. Keep the other rooster away from him.

If the feathers were fully plucked out, new ones should emerge fairly quickly.
If they were just broken off, new ones will not grow until a molt.

What Art said. If any of the shaft is still there they won't grow back until he molts regardless of how much protein you feed him. The ones with the shaft out will grow back fairly soon even if you don't feed extra protein.

Thank you all! I will feed him some egg yolk on top of the chick feed he gets, and see what happens. And the other rooster is leaving this Sunday for a good home.
