Did my nails up special for the eclipse today!

I feel like I haven't properly done my nails in forever! My nails have been flaking pretty badly recently so I've been trying to grow out the weak bits. Finally got tired of waiting so I sprung for some softgel extensions

I bought the "medium" length but WOW they were so much longer than I expected! Fortunately, they cut and file almost exactly like natural nails. They're not as thick as traditional acrylic press on either. We'll see how long they last (website claims 3-6 weeks) and how badly they tear up my natural nails and if I still like them I'll order short ones.

Well, the press on nails didn't even last a full week, but they did not damage my natural nails as promised. I'm waiting until we get the run finished to try again (hammering hardware cloth is hell on my hands). In the meantime I got tired of my plain nails and threw on some flowers with a matte topcoat!
