Here's pictures of our Bluetick Coonhounds. We breed, hunt, and show them. They are excellent pets and varmint deterrents. Unless a animal is suicidal they can find an easier chicken dinner somewhere else.
Samson and Oz are littermate brothers. They are seven months old.

I miss my BlueTicks, I raised them about 20 years ago, we used them to track hogs in the woods. I had one female, named Fred, she ended up being my housedog, she would bark all the way to the woods and not have a voice when she got there so she was no use to us in hunting. She was however the best dog in the world, protective, loving and very good with my other dogs and pets.

Oh I love my bluetick. She talks to me when I'm getting the girls their food. Love her houndy sounds. She's purebred and her parents had papers but I wasn't going to breed her because she was to be a family dog so I didn't bother with getting her papers. Her ears aren't quite as long as your hounds are. She was the most laid back well behaved pup I've ever seen.

Do your blueticks get a winter coat as well?
