Chick Breed Questions

Hi friends!

I placed an order from Chickens For Backyards for 8 chicks which hatched 05/01 and delivered yesterday. I can easily identify my Lavendar Ameraucana, White Leghorn, and Buff Orpington, however I’m having trouble identifying the remaining (listed here):

• Astrolorp
• French Black Copper Maran
• Barred Rock
• Olive Egger
• Easter Egger

Pictures are attached of the above 5 breeds (or so I hope). There are 6 photos as they sent on extra chick (ordered 8, received 9), so there should be two on one of the above breeds. If you wouldn’t mind letting me know HOW you determined each, that would be so helpful!

Chickens for Backyards was the online website/hatchery.

We got four but sent us an extra chick it might be the same hatchery.

1. French black copper marans. Black chick with feathered feet.
2. Easter/Olive Egger. Not sure which one is which, they look pretty alike.
3. Barred rock. Spot on its head means it’s barred.
4. The other Easter/Olive Egger.
5. Black Australorp. Black chick, no feathers on its feet.
6. Same as 5.
