First time chicken owner here! I got 3 Barred Rock pullets from Tractor Supply. I got them 3 weeks ago.
Based off the countless hours I’ve researched, I’m 100% sure the darkest one is a pullet, she’s smaller and very sweet with a dark leg wash. Her tail feathers came in first and she has the smallest comb.
The other two have the lighter banding, they have some slight dark wash on their legs, they had larger white spots on their heads and now have larger combs. They are feisty, curious and do stand taller most of the time and developed at the same rate.
I also suspect that maybe the girl, Hendra might be another breed altogether. Can you please help to identify the gender of the two and confirm the breed of Hendra?
I don’t have the coop 100% ready yet, but I took them outside for a few hours today and they loved it!
