Pictures below of swollen eye and the other eye which seems fine. Roughly 3 week old barnevelder chick, just noticed this now, wasn't like this about 12 hours ago so a new development.

The affected eye seems to be a bit irritated and watery as well, but no other symptoms/behaviour change at the moment.

What is this and what should I do?

I have VetRx, as well as the eye drops pictured (from other pets) should I do any of that?

Thank you!

update: I put in a drop of the tobramycin, will keep doing that unless otherwise advised...

It could be conjunctivitis which can be related to a respiratory disease mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG.) Where did the chick come from? Do you have older or other chickens? Have you ever see similar symptoms, sneezing, or gasping in a bird before? I would use either Terramycin eye ointment or plain Triple Antibiotic in the eye twice a day. The tobramycin you have is more for treatment of gram negative bacteria, such as pseudomonas, but not MG, which is treated with broad spectrum antibiotics such as Tylosin, oxytetracycline, and others. Terramycin is oxytetracycline.

Okay thank you! I do not have any older chickens, and the rest of the chicks seem fine.

UPDATE: Kept up with the tobramycin a couple times a day and now she's pretty much back to normal.
