Transition from coop to run

Hello,

i have built a coop within a trailer and have kind of an odd transition from the coop to the run due to the trailer wheel being in the way which prevents a clean connection. Any idea of a secure (predator proof) perhaps prefab material that I can use as a tunnel passageway to connect the coop pop door to the run? I’m hoping to avoid building an entirely new, framed wing of the run with the hardware cloth and apron to make this connection. It seems there must be an easier way. I have attached a picture from earlier on in the build, and I have drawn in where the pop door is located. Any ideas?

I like your coop design. If it were me, I would use some portable electric poultry netting and completely surround the coop with it. That way you could just add the pop door, electrify the fence and you're good to go. You could also move the coop to a new location with fresh grass once the chickens deplete the first area. There are a ton of small scale egg producers that raise all their laying hens in that way.

Thanks guys! Both are great ideas to think about.

I built the coop on the trailer because I got it cheap and I liked the flexibility as I'm redesigning my yard. I wasn't really panning in moving them around often for grazing purposes but will give that idea more thought.
