I love these! Here is some info:

Scientific name " balloonus gallus crackus uppus"

Local name "ballon bird, rubber bird, dopey"

Colors " American ballon bird assoc accepts all colors

Eggs: lays many eggs but tend to float away if not restrained

temperment- loves huggies but children and dogs should not handle as theyhave a tendancy to "pop" and scare the wits out of them.

I heard that they are rather noisy. They make a high pitched squeaky, squealing noise.

I know some people have hatched eggs from Trader Joe's Grocery......BUT...............You wont believe it, but I found my eggs at the local Dollar Store!! I got 24 for a buck!!

I tried to get my broody Serama hen to hatch one, but It was too big for her...

Plus she showed me that she just hatched her chicks...

As you can see, some are rather large...

I think this one was infertile...

Im hoping to hatch out the other 23 in the incubator and put them on Craigslist and make my fortune!!!!!!!!!!
