Its a bit early to judge gender, usually you should wait until 8 weeks unless you have an early cockerel.
That said... you have an early cockerel. LOL The only one I'm comfortable saying definitively is a boy or girl is your GLW X. That's a boy. The rest, could go either way.

Good call! I was already pretty sure about him not because of look but because of behaviour. He is a little bugger.

I will update this thread in a few (assuming I get good news on Mareks test results which are pending ).

My guess right now is:

ICB3- Pullet
Barnevelder x- cockerel
BCM2- Pullet
GLWx- Cockerel
ICB2- cockerel
DSLB2- Pullet
BCMx- cockerel
Black ICB- Pullet
EE1- cockerel
DSLB- Pullet
BCM1- Pullet

By behaviour, leg thickness, and Combs I am thinking that it is likely all the chicks hatched out of my own birds (vs purchased eggs) are cockerels which is weird. That would be the GLWx, BCMx, Barnevelder x and EE (Frenchies).

I had a young rooster in with my flock that had not started crowing and had just started to fill out when I put some shipped eggs in so I threw that days collection in as well to see if he was breeding the hens. I thought it was highly unlikely. Apparently he was (sneaky little devil!)

I am only posting as trying to learn to spot differences early on but understand it is still a total guessing game at this age.
