Hi,

I just got two little chicks, I’m really hoping they don’t turn out to be roosters as I’m not allowed to keep them where I am. 😭

Please see photos of them side by side, I’m concerned the white one is a rooster as the comb is significantly bigger and pinker than the black duccle.

Any help would be appreciated!

The combs on my Mille Fleur d’Uccle cockerels pink up at around 4 weeks. The pullets don’t change until they’re getting ready to start laying.

Oh no :( what do I do if it’s a rooster. I can’t seperate them and the laws in my area are clear on no roosters. I’m so so sad!!! I think it’s pretty much confirmed he’s a rooster as he’s making the “crow” face with the beak opening but no sound coming out so far. Fingers crossed that he’s quiet or at least that my neighbours don’t complain 🤞🏼🤞🏼
