I have two BLRW pullets.
I have one BLRW cockerel.
I have one SLRW cockerel.

I was thinking of getting two straight run SLRW, hoping for a pullet.

Is there a breeding chart for these mixes? Like if I do a
SBLW x SBLW or a BLRW x SBLW

Do father and mother matter with who is the splash and who is the blue?

BBS works the same whether on solid colored birds or not.

The father and mother don’t matter.
BLRxBLR=25 percent black laced red, 50 percent BLR and 25 SLR
SLRxBLR=50 percent BLR, 50 percent SLRxSLR=100 percent SLR
Also what is an SBLW?

Thank you! Been looking for a good color chart for awhile now.

Sorry about the SBLW! I’m too used to putting a B. It’s nothing other then an imaginary breed! 😂

When dealing with splash and blue, it does not matter which one is male or female. That gene is not on the sex chromosome.

Splash and blue affect any black on the chicken. It doesn't matter if the chicken is solid black, or has black lacing, or black spangles, or black markings in a Columbian pattern, the black is affected and the white or gold or red is not.

Black x Black = Black
Black x Splash = Blue
Black x Blue = Black (1/2 of chicks) and Blue (1/2 of chicks)
Blue x Splash = Blue (1/2 of chicks) and Splash (1/2 of chicks)
Blue x Blue = Black (1/4 of chicks), Blue (1/2 of chicks), and Splash (1/4 of chicks)

If you're dealing with laced Wyandottes, the black/blue/splash will only apply to the lacing, leaving the middle of each feather alone. If you cross Wyandottes with different colors in the middle of the feather (silver, gold, red) then those have their own rules of inheritance that are completely separate from the black/blue/splash part.

(I'm not recognizing some of your breed abbreviations, so I'm just trying to give the basics of the genes you asked about.)

Hmmm. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those.
I don't think I've seen Black Laced Reds listed for sale as a separate color, but I would expect any hatch of "Blue Laced Reds" to have some percent Black Laced Reds and some percent Splash Laced Reds in addition to ones with actual blue lacing.

That's because crossing two Blue Laced Reds should give chickens with all three lacing colors (black, blue, splash), but they should all have red in the center of each feather.

Hatchery black laced reds look pretty much the same as gold laceds.
So they aren't too picky about the difference between "red" and "gold"? I'm not really surprised :D
