Garlic in water.

Hi, i heard from a lady that keeps chickens that if u put chopped up Garlic in the chickens drinking water it will help get rid of worms, can anyone else tell me if this is true or is she just pulling my leg?

I've heard it before but haven't tried it yet... I was actually wondering if I could crush up some left over sushi wrap and sprinkle a little bit on their food or if that wouldn't work what should I get?

Garlic
Feeding Garlic at 3% and up to 7% of your hens diet will prevent
flees, mites, adding garlic to their water will prevent worm
infestations. Garlic boosts the immunity against many diseases and
aids in longevity. Garlic will add a delicious (in my opinion –
everyone LOVES my eggs) flavor to the eggs and also cuts down on the

Garlic when added to forage can prevent white diarrhea and indigestion in chickens. To 50 g forage add 50 g garlic powder and 0.25 g terramycin. The forage should however, contain all the necessary nutrients.

Awesome!! Thanks for the extra research!! I will have to figure out how to add some garlic to my chickens diet when they are a little older! I am not sure I want garlic flavored eggs for baking though, I guess it will be a bit of a trial and error to see how much it affects the egg flavor

I have heard that if your chickens eat onions or garlic, then you eggs will have that flavor....which can be icky.
