Granny's gone and done it again

Reynaud's syndrome, irritable bowel , GERD, sleep disorder, depression, anxiety, eczema, fibromyalgia, familial tremors, just a few of my tormentors.
We have a lot in common. I didn't mention irritable bowel syndrome. Gerd. Depression..anxiety goes along with that..and..Vestibular Migraines. Get rest when you can. I understand why no more chickens. I had to let it go too. People say chickens aren't hard work. If you're doing a back yard thing..it's more work than those that let them free range on a Ranch.

Honey's first chick hatched Tuesday around mid day. The last of 9 eggs hatched yesterday afternoon late. 4+ days from the first egg to the last to hatch. She has 8 beautiful kids she'll never know that are hers. Kinda of sad. She's completely broke from broody now but without a rooster escort I will not let her out of her coop. She has another hen her size and they are buddies now so that worked out. #9 looks like it may turn out to be a blue of some kind if the down is any indication of the feathers to come.

Which rooster are the chicks out of?

He was out of a son of a Black sex link rooster and a RIR hen. Makes the son 3/4 RIR and 1/4 Barred rock. Sure hated to loose that boy. He was a perfect gentleman with any of the girls. He guarded them and called them to feed as well. Was gentle with them too.

I've got some catching up to do Granny and that I will but just not tonight. Allergies or a bug I've been put through Hades this week just trying to breathe. Even took a Covid test to make sure. Not Covid. May be back later and may just go to bed after I eat. I'm tired and weak. Must get up and go early in the morning and restock the feed storage bins in the coops as soon as I get a run to the CoOp for a few hundred pounds.
