Hello from The Ladies

Hi Everyone, glad to be part of backyard chickens. My daughter and I have been raising chickens for 5 years. We currently have 11, 10 hens and one potential rooster. We have mixed breeds and our very favorite is Penny, our 5 year old Buff Orpington. She jumps in my daughter's lap everyday for "cuddle time" and loves to chat! She has shown us how much personality these little creatures have. She is now "retired" for the most part, but a true joy to have around. With that said, we have some that could care less about cuddling and chatting with us, lol. Anyhow glad to have finally joined!
