Hi all,

First time roo mum. I’ve noticed my 12 week old roo has rugged feathers compared to my hen. He’s eating and drinking like normal and no sign of mites. They are still both on the starter feed for another week and he gets treats such as a porridge with meal worms, bran and polenta 🤣. They also eat this scratcher mix they love that I hide around the garden for them.

I’ll attach some photos. Please let me know if it’s something to worry about or is he just moulting. He has a few on his neck as well.

Thanks so much!

Looks like just an awkward stage.

I'd go easy on all those treats, focus on your chicks eating starter feed until they come into lay.
