whaty causes scally legs and what to do for them any answers would be great thanks

it sounds like scaly leg mites.mine had them a few months ago and i treted them by applying pertrolem gelly to there legs for a week and you should start seeing some improvment.

Does anyone have a picture? I have some hens with really thick and kinda scaly looking legs, and was wondering about that myself. I thought maybe they were just older hens or something like that.

i will try that i just did dust on all my birds so that should get rid of the mits and what ever parasites they have
