I just had 8 ducklings hatch yesterday. Do I need to vaccinate the ducks? Does a vet do it or do I buy it from somewhere and do it myself? What vaccines should I get, scheduling? There is a lot of conflicting info on the internet so I figured I'd ask the pros. I plan on eating their eggs once they start laying.

I do not vaccinate. Yes, you can do it yourself. No, the time to ask this question was weeks ago, so you could get the stuff in time.

Here is what Cornell has to say.

Unless you have known disease risks locally, or are intending to breed commercially, it is generally not necessary to vaccinate ducks. Many, if not most, commercial breeders don't either (or make vaccination optional, at the choice of the purchaser).

In this case, part of the reason for conflicting information is because there is no one right answer. It depends on your risks, your tolerances, and your purposes.
