Cute coop with reference to the baseline coop it is built off of. The big win here would have been to see what the modifications to the Wichita Coop plans were and more importantly, why. Others may wish to include those modifications in their coop build.

I like the plumbing set up. Very cool idea. I never thought of any such system. I would love to know how it survived the winter.

This is a great article. Despite the lack of actual plans I feel I could probably recreate this coop.

The coop is adorable even though likely too small for the number of chickens they have once winter arrives.

They did a great job with ease of access. Explained why the were doing what they did. That is a nice run. Overall a solid article with good ideas.

This looks like a very solid coop. I love the fold up roosts. The article is lacking details on the build and no plans are present. You could not recreate this coop for yourself from this article. I would also to know some of the reasons behind why the coop is built the way it is.

Such promise not realized. I was so excited to see plans and watch as the process was started. And then it just ended. It is a real shame the article wasn't finished.

This a wonderful introduction to their coop and run. As a coop build article it is missing some critical information. There are not good descriptions of the build or plans. Dimensions are included but you would be hard pressed to recreate this coop for yourself.
So good of you to share your story. I hope it gives others the confidence to meet these wonderful animals. Well told. I enjoyed it very much.

Very clever solution to the snow getting in. I also use eves for ventilation in my coop. Fortunately I have not had a snow problem but I will remember this. I also love the creative deflection of cold wind coming through the eves away from roosting chickens. The writer has that knack of improvisation needed for keeping chickens.

I hope this is linked to the coop build instead of the vice versa done in this article. It would be very helpful to those who may be copying the coop design.

This is a beautiful coop. Unfortunately, I did not understand all of the carpenter terms utilized (board-and-batten?) and therefore some of this was lost on me. A picture and explanation would be helpful. Most people reading this will not be carpenters.

It would also help if the pictures had captions to just assist in what I am looking at.

I do love that they discuss changes they would make in the article. Overall a great build and interesting article.

Very adorable coop. I am interested in knowing so much more about it. I'd love to see the roosts and nest boxes for example. Did you have any issues or make any changes while you were building it?

Incredibly inventive. I just love this coop. This has it all. I would love the addition of a final tour of the finished product, inside and outside.

Add in the father daughter dynamic and it is just great. Wonderful article.

You made me laugh, I love it. I actually built my coop with one of those fisher price saws. Mine worked pretty well. 😄

Good descriptions and lots of photos. It was very easy to follow along. I'd love to know if you would do anything differently besides buy a better saw.

It looks nice and airy for them and the chickens seem to have plenty of room.

I would love to know some of the reasons why you built the coop the way you did. For me the reasons why are quite revealing.

Lots of great pictures. Very good looking coop. Corner roosts are a very clever idea.

Would be nice to know what worked as designed and what they would do different based upon this experience.

Excellent article about something of which I was unaware. The details are all here including reference citations and videos. It was easy to follow and the author's reasoning which led to each decision is included so that we can understand the why.

I would love to see more articles of this quality. Well done.

This is a very well written article that is well referenced. The story is well told and it contains help for others who may experience this same situation. The videos help to tell the story and bring life to the chicken involved.

Great job!

What a wonderful sense of humor and gift for writing the author has. We have all experienced these things as chicken owners and yet I found myself laughing at what she has learned. What a wonderful read.
