Been doing a lot of reading. They’re black because of a gene mutation
They are supposed to have 2 fibromelanosis genes.
I’m going to do test breeding. I’ll breed every one with a white hen or rooster. If the all the chicks are black then the parent has 2 copies of the gene
If you get a bunch of different colors they have one copy. Because of the mutation it’s hard to get perfect birds
