Our 9 yr old daughter wanted to buy chicks at TSC with allowance and started it all......
She bought 5 RIR's and 1 mystery chick. Then she wanted a silkie and we found her a splash silkie chick. I decided I wanted some Buff Orpingtons and we got six of those. Our grand total is now 13. My husband and his father built the coop and I (with a little help) built the nest boxes. We just put up two 2x4's at the same height for roosts. The run will be dog kennel panels. We still have work to do but here are some pics of our progress.
