"sour" crop is not always a yeast infection, sometimes it's a bacterial infection and there are many things that can cause it.

There are SO many reasons a crop becomes slow or soured. Water should never ever be withheld from a bird no matter how sick they are. This article lacks all knowledge about treating something that can be deadly to poultry.
