I retro fit our tack shed into a coop all I did was add a run to the existing building the coop is 15x8 and the run is 7x7. The chickens will be completely free range but wanted them to be able to go outside when in the coop I want "happy chicks" . I still have alot of work to do on the inside, add a roost and the nesting boxes. I will add more pics once I get more done
I buried chicken wire two feet deep at the perimeter of the run to protect against predators.

I will add more pics in the daylight! I also plan on building a removable wall with a small door for the colder months as I live in the pacific northwest . this is my first go at chickens so any ideas or suggestions are very welcome !
We ordered our chicks on 2-27-12 and they will be straying in the mudroom for a while! cant wait till they get here! once I figure how to get the structural drawing on here I will .
