Understanding the Confusing and Mysterious Language of Chickens (With Three Tips to Become More Fluent)

My rooster also makes the funny rooster sound, and I thought it meant the same thing you did. I think sometimes they just jump the gun, so to speak.
My Shirley makes the funny sound when there's something she doesn't like, people walking their dogs, a squirrel or rabbit that gets too close or a loud vehicle passing by.
This is a lovely informative article. Chickens make so many sounds and this is a nice run down of the more common ones. Good job!
What a great article and so helpful, adding the sounds was most helpful. Thanks for sharing
Eggcellent article! I'm a first timer and spend a lot of time with my flock but I loved the article! Always so much fun to have confirmation of what I THINK I'm picking up on. Great article, thank you!
Article is very well presented and informative. I love that the author included recording examples throughout the piece. A good reminder that quiet observation has the potential to teach us much.
Helpful information that will lead us to better understand our flock.
I loved this article!
The audio clips and information are excellent, and I'm sure all sorts of chicken lovers will enjoy this read!
My rooster insists on being an egg has been laid announcer. He doesn't give the hen a chance. :) These explanations that you have given are spot on in my opinion.
Very descriptive in every paragraph.

Neat article! Very enjoyable read
I really enjoyed this, it was so nice to have all of the video clips in one place.
The article would be better with audio. Youtube and vimeo could be use for audio without video
Thanks for adding the Audio!
