Apples, the big red Golden Comet, has been sick for the past two months, first with sour crop then with worms...we wormed her about two weeks ago and she's shown significant improvment. She's no longer sick and finally gaining weight (she'd lost all of her muscle mass and fat so that we couldn't even give her a shot). As she's too weak right now to compete with the more aggressive older birds, we decided to introduce her to our bantam chicks, and they got along great! Apples is our most mellow hen of the older flock, so it's good that she could coexist with the little ones so easily.

A lovely shot of our little fuzzy girl Tater, she has an extra back toe on each foot, and is still looking fuzzy while the rest of her flock is fully feathered. We have no idea what breed she is!

Dotty is closest this time, with Peaches to the right, and the two blue boys and our silver girl Piplup in the background.

First shot of the little ones outside...we've let them out several times in the gate, this was the first time opening the gate to let them wander, and they were pretty wary at first. Tater is up front. They're all Old English Game bantams except for Tatter.
