The big branch I added gives them a hangout place. I have seen it completely full! It is screw in and supported at the far end and screwed in at the bottom the close end.

I have the small run is already divided part way.
I put straw bales in the run and the girls love jumping on them, sitting on them and gives them a place to hide behind to get away from any bossy hens. They love to peck at the pieces of straw and when I need to add straw to the coop I have some available. In the winter the poo comes off readily.

The center post will give me more flexibility for sectioning off the run.

The run all deck out in snow. I was afraid the low slope of the roof and the small run, the way it slopes toward the large section of run would give me trouble with rain and sow but so far it's all good.

Fall time and the girls like their all done. They don't mind spending the dreary days inside and dry. The light inside the run is to help keep predators at bay and help me see. The first few days a couple of the girls were a little confused but soon after all go in when it's dark out.

A few Christmas light to make it festive for the girls. (Including me!) The rope light on the inside of the run will stay up year round. I've put heavy clear vinyl up to stop the winds and retain a little warmth from the sun.
