Did the wardrobe box come with a hanger rod? If so, that could be a perch for the chicks once they get big enough. I put sticks in my brooder for chicks to learn to perch on normally. Once they are feathered and can get lift, they'll use it.
I was going to add a perch! I was hoping for some of the snow to melt before I trudge thru it looking for sticks I don't have the metal piece anymore. But a perch will fit right thru the handles!
