We love our buff "MILLE". She is just like everyone else described. I will add that she is a digger and scratcher. She has dug one hole that is at least a foot deep!

She is really a good looking bird, but what class would I show her in?

I have a sizzle silkie/cochin mix that can not see because her head feathers and cheaks are so puffy. She is getting picked on by the other chickens and can not see well enough to defend herself. Should I trim the feathers around her eyes?

My buff orpington is quiet as well. She has a BIG voice but seldom uses it. My fathers EEs only kakkle after laying eggs. They come tell you when they lay an egg!LOL!

Thanks for the input! We really enjoy this one. I sure hope it turns out to be a pullet. I think it must have got the smooth feather genes instead of the frizzle gene. I wish I could download video of it running, It looks like it could take off without using it's wings, and wow is it fast!
