    PurpleChicken, Thanks for the info on jm Hatchery. I called them and they gave me some good info. they say 10- 11 weeks for a 4# dressed bird. How are yours doing? they also say 2.4 to 2.5# weight converson. does that sound about right?

    Balticbabe, ok hears a shameless Plug. Orchards Feed is on 4 plane rd. if you follow 4th plane east for a couple of miles you will find BeeRite sales Johnathan Columere Sells a huge assortment of Fetrell Products and the like DE, Kelp meal etc. ect. his place is on the L/h side of the road...

    Joel Salatin says that wood shavings work the best. but the rule is a 50-1 carbon to nitrogen Ratio.

    Greyfields, I see that the couple who was selling the Freedom Rangers is going out of business. I wonder if anyone is going to take over their business or if those of us who want to try freedom Rangers next year are out of luck? Michael
