    Decided to follow ya. Looking at your banner looks like your situation is the same as mine except opposite 'cause you're the guy. Anywho, nice to meetcha, I'm the ole lady on the right, fyi. Stay tuned as my chicks grow up and I get better at photographing them.

    I hear Iowa has plentiful jobs and a decent place to stay. Good for you.

    Sigh. Yup, I punch that clock, Cityboy, and when done six hours later I punch out and that's it. My time is my own after that. I retired, but went back to work at a local store for bubble gum and candy money as my mamma used to say.

    Oh, I am from Ohio. Hubs is from W. Virginia. I met him while living in Florida not too long ago and the rest they say, is history. HE is the country boy, and the one got me into thinking along the lines of self-sufficiency. We (okay he) is building us a homestead. We call it Hip Hillbilly Acres; bless his heart. But, I'm supportin' him. He's alll about us being able to eat in the near future when SHTF.

    I love that. My girl is from Nebraska. We met in Iowa. And we're on the same boat. We have the chicks, a big garden, rain catch and a little aquaponics system I've been working on. Trying to starve the system. 😆 it's always good to be self sufficient.
