    Well, I believe I was in the first Easter hatch. Maybe. So I think I will join this year for old times sake.should have some Buckeyes and some white leghorns to hatch, and who knows what else.

    Culling doesn't necessarily mean killing them. It means taking them out of your breeding program. When I cull a hen she goes to my laying flock. I don't use her to hatch from. I only hatch from the best of my flock. If you are hatching you will have to cull cockerels whether you eat them or...

    As you might remember, I got some eggs from Pocket Farmer. Today I put 15 out of sixteen eggs into lockdown. The one had started but stopped. Mind you this was after the post office took several extra days to get them to me.

    Supposed to lay white white, but at this point many lay a slightly tinted or darker.

    Not much different than chickens, just harder to handle and transport. Some shows don't have turkey sections, but mostly it hard to get exhibitors because of the handling/trnsport problem.

    I talked to ALBC over a year ago and they were talking about doing the same thing with the Hollands probably starting LAST spring or summer. I don't know what happened, but I have never heard back from them. Probably too much on their plate. But their program sounded much like the one you are...
