Chicks ventured into their new run today, new feeder wastes less food. We are learning tons and appreciating all the great articles in the site.

Realized the 2 chicks we thought were Plymouth Barred Rocks and actually Black Sex Links! My 4 year old already named them Tiger and Zebra and we will keep the names even though they won’t have stripes.

Little ladies seem happy to be outside now. Cozy under the heat lamp at night and pecking and peeping during the day. Starting to navigate their ramp.

Oh the coop got bigger, and so did the run. Chicks are feathering out and having daily outside visits. Planning their move to the coop and reading up on happy transitions to the outside world!

5 happy chicks in the brooder - 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Plymouth Barred Rocks, and 1 Columbian Rock Cross.....and the plan for the run just got larger (again x 3)
