It depends on how far away, where would they be going to? There would be an extra cost as they would need to be overnighted.

We are going to Nashville Oct 12th or 13th (not sure exactly when leaving yet) but it wouldn't be that far out of the way to meet in that area on our way there, if we could work out the timing and space for them in our vehicle :)

I think this is pretty normal behavior. Ours used to do this before we clipped one side of their wings. In the wild they naturally roost in trees so they like to be up high :) I suggest looking into clipping their wings if you'd like them to stay on the ground :) We learned the hard way as...

In our experience with ducks, we have to force them in their pen. It will be freezing out and they would still stand outside (we don't want them to get frostbite). You may have to take that approach to help keep them safe at night.

Just a heads up you may have to force the muscovies to use the house. We have muscovies and when it snows they will stand outside in it like they don't care, with their noses in their feathers but their feet and carnacles are both susceptible to frostbite so we shut them in their enclosure...
