    Anything to be concerned about?

I didn't even notice the eyes! But you're completely right. I'll look into that. Her sister died from a respiratory illness at a few weeks old so it wouldn't surprise me. They are meek! This is my first experience with this breed. We love her anyway though. Thanks for the advice!

    Anything to be concerned about?

Hi y'all, My one year old Salmon Favorelle has been looking kind of rough lately. She is acting completely normal and still laying eggs daily. However, she seems to have a bald patch under/near her beak. I also have noticed black spots on her skin as well. I thought they were just dirt (She...

She doesn't seem to be bothered by it and only picked around it while she was doing her usual cleaning. Online it seems to be a follicle cyst and makes...

    How to Raise Healthy Chicks

Hi! So my partner and I started out with 7 chicks that we picked up from a local feed store 16 days ago. Unfortunately we had one die of unknown causes the first week and another die after two weeks from what seemed like brooder pneumonia. I know that it's common to lose a few chicks in the...

    New to the crew!

Hello! I have always wanted to raise chickens since I was a kid and saw all the 4-H kids doing it. I'm finally living my dream at 28! We have a group of 5 baby chicks that we picked up at a local feed store and are going on week 3 with them. I apologize in advance for any spelling errors but...
