I have the same issue. I have a 4 year old hen that has her right eye closed. I picker her up and it doesn't look swollen or scratched. When I pulled the lid down, her eye looked normal. I have no idea what the problem is? Any suggestions?
I am giving the babies to someone else. They want them when they are babies and not 8 weeks old. Otherwise I agree, I would always just leave them with the mom.

Hi, I just had some chicks hatch under the hen and I found one with what looks like wry neck. the other chicks are healthy. do I use the same dosage for a 1-2 day old chick? Is there anything else I can do?
So I don't need to worry about too much protein for the teenagers? The starter I have everyone on is 18% protein. I would love it if I could keep them all on the same food for now until they are all laying.
