    You don't say where the eggs came from exactly... are they from your hens? What breed of rooster do you have if so? If you got them from somebody else, it could be any number of things. Just remember that the genetics of the chick inside could have little to do with the appearance of the egg...

    Thank you for making this thread... I wish I had found it sooner but it still would have been too late, we lost our Blue Ameracauna Grisabella on Sunday. She was 8 mos old and had been laying beautiful eggs. I think I just didn't know enough and she wasn't getting enough nutrition.

    Perhaps your birds are going through their juvenile moult and that is the cause of all the feathers?

    I've kept my golf balls that I put in there initially in the nesting boxes. Tried to take them out, but then I moved the nest box and everybody got confused. Avery now and again one is in a random place, as if it took them by surprise lol! I also got some 'fake eggs' recently... idk what they...
