These lay white medium eggs every day! I get three a day from my three brown leghorn hens. although they are skittish birds they can be pretty hilarious!
Rhode Island Red Bantams are very small, sweet, flighty, tame birds. They love to sit on shoulders and eat treats from your hands! They don't need a super big run, but work better with other bantams. I reccomend these birds for a good little pet!
I have 1 EE hen. She is so calm and very sweet! She will follow me around and is not aggresive to the other birds at all! She lays me 1 green egg every day
Pros: small, easy maintenance, dont eat a lot, not flighty
Cons: NONE!
I purchased 1 blue silkie hen, 4 white silkie chicks, 1 partridge silkie roo, and 1 partridge silkie hen. sadly, 3 out of 4 white silkies have died from coons, the blue hen got bucholism and passed, the partridge silkie roo got eaten, and the partridge silkie hen now has one wing We now have a CRAZY protected cage! But these birds are great! Cute, fluffy, easy to maintain, dont need a big cage, arent flighty and dont eat a lot of food!
Pros: Tiny, Sweet, Low Maintenance, easy, Begginer, etc.
Cons: Flighty
I love seramas! I think it's a great beginner bird! They are Sweet, Pocket sized, Easy to house, and Easy to train! The Serama was one of my first chickens.... I fell in love with them! I had to get more! My first one was a pullet and at the moment is now a hen. So I set off to find a rooster! I luckily found a rooster and housed him with my hen, But we have close neighbors. Luckily a very great thing about the serama is that the roo's crow is not loud at all! I am now a lovely Serama breeder!
