Pros: Lots of feathers to share for wild birds nests.
Cons: Bullies, my muscovies can't lay eggs in peace.
The hen is quite the quacker. The drake is pretty persistent in mating the muscovies, chasing them around the yard, pinning them to the ground, finishing his deed in 2 seconds and flop right off. I thought ducks mated on water. Apparently, he's got this figured out on land.

Pros: Quiet, no quacks, just whistles. Friendly.
Cons: Short legs, they seem to injure themselves a bit. Luckily have been minor to heal themselves in a few days.
My flock get to free range day and night. I found it creepy when I 1st noticed them stalking/patrolling the yard at night. I've gotten use to it, now I find it amusing.

Pros: Nearly an egg a day. Not afraid of anything from people to dogs. Great garden partners.
Cons: Will help themselves into the house if you leave the door open.
Never broody. Mix with other breeds and sex link traits are passed making sexing easy. 90% hatch rate!
