We have a rooster and two hens the colors of the birds are awesome these are the sweetest birds we have they seem to like the interaction we have with them and are very curious, our guys are not old enough to lay yet
Great Egg layers, We have 10 counting our rooster, They are the Jack Russell of the chicken family at least on our farm, we never know what they are going to do next.
We got our first two reds from a friend of my wife. My wife said she was tired of paying high prices for eggs on a social media site and then the phone rang and her friend said come outside handed her two chicks. my wife said where am I going to put these and her friend said what ya doing with that dog kennel, then a year later we bought four three more red hens and our flock grew from there.
I purchased two from Gone to the birds and let them mix in with my runner ducks and now they react just like my runners not has curios has my runners but they do follow the runners lead, Over Easter we have gotten 5 more from a photographer who purchased them just for Easter pics, I think we paid $12 for all five babies
