Pros: Economical heat, chicks LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Simple to clean, use, store, and versatile in how you use them. Sturdy. Priced right. I recommend them to everyone. I loan mine out and then they buy their own.
Cons: Can't think of even one. Maybe that I'd like to own at least two more of the two bigger sizes.
These are fabulous. I use them for the hatchlings, the singletons that need their own crib, and or older birds that need some TLC. I double and triple stack them in the brooder for entertainment and for the chicks to pick a level to sleep or perch. Marvelous. I stopped using the clear stick-on plastic as they clean up easily and nicely. Buy as many as you can afford. I have 5 so far would like 7 :) We have raised 100's of chicks with these plates. I actually have three plates stacked now. They love it.

Pros: Easy to use, easy to see levels, simple to clean, chickens love them, whole seed flows well from them, chickens don't flick food from them as much
Cons: NOT dishwasher proof. I have melted three of the clear tops :(
OMG! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these feeder/waterers! I have recommended them to all my buyers and to all that come to me for consultation. They work so well. I literally own at least 14 of these. And I make sure all new chicken owners have two.

Pros: easy to store, easy to clean, easy to use
Cons: the controller sucks on our two but we work around it.
We have two so that one is the 1-18 days and one is for lockdown. Works well for us that way. We also live where there is high humidity here in the bay area. So don't need to add water, instead we use a small tupperware 2 oz cup and fill that half way, it allows us to have the perfect amount of rh during incubation. We use the auto turner, and that works well too. During the lockdown, I put in cotton coffee filters, and that seem to work well for each egg to sit on and then when they hatch, it tends to dry out some of the excessive humidity. We have done 6 hatches with them so far.

Pros: Easy to whip up medicated water
Cons: spills easy
I like these quail sized waterers for singleton care, or for spot waterers for my hatchlings. Easy to put out some in a few spots with the small foot print.
